Joint communique of five-member ministerial committee on Gaza meeting with US Middle East envoy

Doha: The State of Qatar hosted today, March 12, a meeting bringing together Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs HE Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman bin Jassim Al Thani; Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates of the Hashemite Kingdom of Jordan HE Ayman Al Safadi; Minister of Foreign Affairs of the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia HE Prince Faisal bin Farhan bin Abdullah Al Saud; Minister of Foreign Affairs, Emigration and Egyptian Expatriates Affairs of the Arab Republic of Egypt HE Dr. Badr Abdelatty; Minister of State at the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the United Arab Emirates (UAE) HE Khalifa Shaheen Al Marar; Secretary-General of the Executive Committee of the Palestine Liberation Organization HE Hussein Al Sheikh, and US President's Envoy to the Middle East HE Steve Witkoff.

The Arab foreign ministers presented the Gaza reconstruction plan, which was approved at the Arab Summit held in Cairo on March 4, 2025. They also agreed with the US Envoy to continue consultations and coordination on this plan as a basis for the reconstruction efforts in the Strip.

The Arab ministers emphasized the importance of consolidating the ceasefire in Gaza and the occupied Palestinian territories, stressing the need for genuine efforts to achieve a just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution, ensuring the fulfillment of the Palestinian people's aspirations of freedom and independence.

The Arab ministers reiterated their commitment to maintaining dialogue to reinforce the ceasefire and to work jointly to establish security, stability, and peace in the region, through intensified diplomatic efforts and coordination with various regional and international parties.
