Doha, Qatar: The weekend is once again around the corner as we usher in a new month! Kick-start August with a lovely weekend exploring around Doha and engaging in diverse activities offered for citizens and residents this summer. 

Here's everything that's in store for you this weekend! 

9th Local Dates Exhibition

4pm to 9pm on Sundays to Thursdays, 4pm to 10pm on Fridays
Eastern Yard, Souq Waqif

The 9th edition of the Local Dates Festival will come to a close this weekend. High-quality fresh dates such as Khalas, Shishi, Sukkari, Khanizi, Barhi, Nabt Sayf, Lulu, Raziz and more are being showcased at the event featuring over 110 farm produce. 

During the first week, a total 138,394 kilograms of fresh dates have been sold since the event commenced. 

Vacation in Msheireb

Until August 31

Msheireb Downtown Doha

Msheireb Downtown turns into a hub for fun and entertainment this summer. Turn the page to a new month with exciting line-up of activities including The Skillfest Zone, The Play Zone, The Food Zone, Treasure Hunt Zone, The Arcade Zone, and The Splash Zone. 

The activities, spanning across Msheireb Downtown are open for all ages, for free and some ticketed ones. 

Qatar Toy Festival

Doha Exhibition and Convention Center (DECC)

The vibrant and exciting world of Qatar Toy Festival at DECC has become a beacon of fun for children and families this summer. On this second edition of the event, the festival returned bigger and better attractions such as Mr Bean Corner and Barney for the first time. 

Less than three weeks are left for citizens and residents to head to DECC before the event concludes. Tickets can be purchased online at Q-Tickets.com, virginmegastore.com, or at the venue. Prices start from QR50 for general entrance to QR1,500 for VVIP tickets. 

3-2-1 Summer Olympic Festival

3-2-1- Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum 

The 3-2-1- Qatar Olympic & Sports Museum has prepared some educational and fun Olympics sports for children and adults to enjoy. The exciting happenings are held at the museum's Activation Zone. 

This is open for everyone including kids and adults, and no registration required. 

Arab Design Now Exhibition

M7 Gallery

The large-scale Arab Design Now Exhibition at M7 will be concluding soon as this weekend offers visitors one last glimpse of the artworks and installations. Arab Design Now brought together over 74 designers from the MENA region to showcase their pieces across various disciplines.

The exhibition is open for everyone and requires a registration prior to visit. The exhibition is for free and tickets can be booked through the Qatar Museums website. The tickets for this exhibition also allow visitors to peek into some exhibitions under the Design Doha initiative. 

100/100 — HUNDRED BEST ARABIC POSTERS

M7 Gallery

Graphic design enthusiasts have one last chance to admire the stunning, vibrant, and intricate posters displayed at M7 this weekend. On view for the public until August 5, the 100/100 Hundred Best Arabic Posters is an exhibition of a collection of designs showcasing the contemporary visual culture of the Arab world. This initiative also strives to give visibility and perception of Arabic graphic design. 

The exhibition is open to everyone and requires a registration prior to visit. The exhibition is for free and tickets can be booked through the Qatar Museums website. The tickets for this exhibition also allow the visitors to peek into some exhibitions under the Design Doha initiative.
