QU announces dates for colleges grad ceremonies

Doha: As part of its preparations to organise the graduation ceremony for the Class of 2023, Qatar University (QU) has announced that it will hold separate ceremonies for its Class of 2023 female students, which will take place in the mornings and evenings starting from May 9 to 13 at the QU Sports and Events Complex. 

The graduation ceremonies will be streamed live on the QU YouTube Channel. The graduates will be received on stage by the Dean of respective colleges as well as ceremony organisers. 

The graduation ceremony of the Class of 2023 will include graduates of the Summer 2022, Fall 2022 and Winter 2023 semesters, in addition to those who are expected to graduate by the end of Spring 2023. Graduates of Summer 2023 will celebrate their graduation with the Class of 2024. According to the schedule released by QU, the College of Education will hold its ceremony on May 9 at 4pm, while the colleges of Health Sciences, Pharmacy and Medicine are scheduled for May 10 at 9am.

The colleges of Sharia and Islamic Studies, Engineering and Law will also hold their graduation ceremonies on May 10 at 4pm. The College of Arts and Sciences (Majors of Mass Communication, History, Sociology, Social Work, and Psychology) are set for May 11 at 9am. 

On May 11 at 4pm, the College of Arts and Sciences (Graduate Studies, Majors of Biology, Statistics, Chemistry, Sport Science, Mathematics, Arabic, English Literature, Linguistics, International Affairs, Policy, Planning & Development) will host theirs, while  the College of Business and Economics is scheduled for May 13 at 9am.
