Doha: There are lot of things happening this weekend. For all the bookworms there is the international book fair with thousands of books. Ajyal film fest has kicked off with many events planned alongside the film fest for families at Katara. If you are the animal lover kind of person then head straight to 2nd chance fair and help them raise funds for the abandoned animal. They are doing a great service; do pass around the info to all your friends.
If nothing interests you, then head to Aspire Park or Corniche and chill in the pleasant weather to forget all your work blues from last week.

Ajyal and its official festival partners have invited everyone to a weekend of fun at Katara. Sony Cinema Under the Stars will be showing outdoor screenings of family-friendly films for free. Kids will love getting the blue-carpet treatment at the special screening of ‘The Smurfs’, and enthusiasts of cinema and music will enjoy ‘My Little Beasts’, a cine-concert featuring short animated films with live musical accompaniment.

A total of 355 publishing houses representing 29 countries are taking part in the fair out of which 82 publishing houses are for children. The fair will remain open until December 5. A must visit for all book lovers in Qatar. The exhibition will witness many cultural events as well as new book releases.

The 2nd Chance Rescue-Qatar is hosting a fair to raise funds for animals of the shelter.
The animal rescue shelter has planned many fun activities for kids and families, including market stalls selling handmade arts/crafts, Christmas decorations, stocking fillers and lots more. Children could visit Santa's grotto and take a 'Santa Selfie', and enjoy themselves at the bouncy castle and win raffle prizes.
