Artistes who won awards in different categories.
Doha: The third edition of Qatar International Art Festival (QIAF) concluded on Thursday evening with a glittering award ceremony at Katara.
The QIAF organisers gave away awards and certificates to the successful artistes, fashion designers, partners and participants. QIAF, one of the largest art festivals in Qatar, was organised by MAPS International LLC, in collaboration with Katara.
The festival provided a platform to the artistes in Qatar and from all over the world to showcase their creativity and amass due recognition. Over 300 artists from more than 65 countries took part in the festival. The welcome statement was given by young and talented Yashvi Agarwal. The awards and certificates were given away in different categories. Katara Cultural Village was given QIAF Partner Award. In the second category, the awards were given to several brand ambassadors from Qatar, India, Global, Russia, Africa, UK, Switzerland, Lebanon, USA, Sweden, Turkey, and Venezuela. In QIAF Gallery Partner category, the awards were handed over to Arame Art Gallery, Gallery 2+, American University Beirut for Seniors, Bingyol’s Armenian Auction House, Art Guest Agency, Funun Art and Minoo Art Group.
In the Best Artist category, the award recipients were; Marat Hovhaness Margaryan and Mikhail Shikhanov. QIAF gave awards to six art legends who presented QIAF master classes. Arjuna Suvaraj and Lalique Foulon received QIAF Young Emerging Artist Award 2021.
Noor Bchara from USA, who participated the festival as a partner under Qatar-US Year of Culture–2021, received Artistic Fashion Show Award. Istituto Di Moda Burgo (IMB Qatar) was also given Artistic Fashion Show Award. Shanmukha K A obtained QIAF Best Creative Fashion Outfit (Male) 2021 and Rosana Largo Rodríguez took away QIAF Best Creative Fashion Outfit (Female) 2021.
Atefeh Mohammadpour clinched the QIAF Best Creative Commodity Design 2021. Irina Rubleva was given QIAF Best Live Fashion Model - winner 2021. Sabah Anees got QIAF Best Live Fashion Model – runner-up. Sameerah Abdul Razzaq was declared QIAF Best Live Painting winner and Natalia Orlova, the runner-pup. Zinnat Parsa got the certificate for the second runner-up.
At the ceremony, Katara handed over a special award to Rashmi Agarwal as head of QIAF for organizing the fascinating and enlightening festival. The closing remarks were also shared by Yashvi Agarwal.
Speaking on the occasion, Rashmi Agarwal said: “I am very thankful to State of Qatar for giving the opportunities and providing us the platforms to grow. I wish to express my special thanks and gratitude to His Excellency Prof Dr Ibrahim Sulaiti, General Manager of Katara Cultural Village and his entire team. Over the last three years, the festival has grown from strength to strength.
“The aim of the festival since its inception has been to promote and support local artistic talent in all its forms. In this festival, all of you got a chance to express yourself in the best spirit of friendly competitiveness. I am sure the extravaganza will become for you a cherished memory, a snapshot that you will showcase for the rest of your lives.”
