La Spezia, Italy: The State of Qatar, represented by the Ministry of Defence, received the “Al Zubarah” corvette, which was manufactured in the Italian Republic.
Chief of Staff of the Armed Forces H E Lieutenant-General (Pilot) Salem bin Hamad Al Nabit attended the flag-raising ceremony of the State of Qatar on the Al Zubarah corvette, in the presence of H E Undersecretary of State for Defence of Italy, Senator Stefania Pucciarelli, General Manager Naval Vessels Division of Fincantieri Giuseppe Giordo, and several senior officers of Italy.
The Ministry of Defence, represented by Commander of Amiri Naval Forces H E Staff Major General (Navy) Abdullah Hassan Al Sulaiti, signed the receipt of the corvette. Qatar’s Military Attache to the Italian Republic Brigadier General (Navy) Hilal Ali Al Mohannadi and several senior officers of the Armed Forces attended the inauguration ceremony.
