Palestinians from Jalazoun Palestinian refugee camp throw stones towards Israeli security forces during clashes near Al Aqsa mosque compound, near the camp adjacent to the Jewish settlement of Beit El, north of Ramallah, in the occupied West Bank, yesterday.

Jerusalem:  Sporadic clashes between Israeli security forces and Palestinians hit Jerusalem’s Old City and a checkpoint outside Ramallah yesterday.
The incidents followed fresh clashes on Monday at Al Aqsa Mosque compound. The disturbances in Jerusalem occurred on the margins of Al Aqsa. The clashes outside Ramallah saw dozens of youth throw stones at Israeli soldiers, who responded with water cannon and rubber bullets.
The violence occurred on the sidelines of a demonstration organised by Palestinian organisations, in part over the Israeli raids at the Al Aqsa compound. Israeli police said they had arrested 12 Palestinians in annexed east Jerusalem. AFP
