Doha, Qatar: M7 and Printemps Doha, recently revealed the names of the finalists for the second season of “The Collective.” This unique retail incubation programne is specially designed to empower Qatar-based and regional designers and help them navigate the challenges of the modern fashion industry.
The selected designers for “The Collective” Season 2 are Maryam Almalki by Maryam Almalki, Drizzle by AlAnoud AlHedfa, Ninth by Fatima Almohannadi, Lin by Noof AlMulla, Vittorio by Jassim Aljaber, Regard Sombre by Nadia El Ouaoui, and Tagreed Omer by Tagreed Omer.
These seven designers will undergo an intensive four-month mentoring period, where they will receive personalised guidance and support from industry leaders and experts from both M7 and Printemps Doha.
M7 Director, Maha Al Sulaiti in a statement earlier highlighted the programme’s significance in addressing the current demands and challenges faced by designers today. “The Collective” aims to equip these emerging talents with a comprehensive understanding of the business aspects of the fashion industry, preparing them for a successful entry into the retail market.
During the mentoring period, the designers will have the invaluable opportunity to connect with industry experts and receive dedicated mentorship. This guidance is intended to nurture their creative journey and ensure they are well-prepared to take their designs to the market. Upon completion of the mentorship programme, the seven designers will be granted an exclusive chance to showcase and sell their carefully curated capsule collection in a dedicated M7 x Printemps Doha concept store.
“The Collective” made its debut last year with great success. The seven designers from the first season proudly launched their exclusive capsule collection at the newly opened luxury department store - Doha Oasis.
