Mowasalat makes changes to some bus routes; terminates 2 routes

Doha: Mowasalat is terminating two bus routes from May 1. In a statement the bus operator said that the routes 302 and 303 will be terminated. The reason for stopping the routes was not disclosed by the company.
Mowasalat said that the routes 20, 21 and 22 will cover part of the routes affected by the termination. 

They also announced some changes to few routes from May 1.

“In order to broaden and improve bus networks under the guidance of MOTC following are the changes with effect from 1st May 2017,” the company said in the statement.

Route 747

From Hamad International Airport (HIA) to Doha Bus Station (DBS) is modified
The route will now cover all major hotels in the city along the way. Change made to cover major hotels around Doha Bus Station (DBS), Corniche and Salata area. The frequency will be every 20 minutes.

Route 737
From Karwa Bus station (KBS) to Hamad International Airport (HIA)
The bus will pass through Barwa City, Religious Complex and Mesaimeer Health Center. Industrial area, Barwa city users can also avail this service to HIA. Frequency will be every 30 minutes.

Route 74 & 75
These routes operate in West Bay as single route and will now start to ply in two routes starting from 6am – 9pm, 7 days a week and 15 minutes frequency.
The decision is to “improve passenger connectivity to key locations, reduce travel and waiting time, based on the performance analysis and feedback from public,” Mowasalat said in the statement.
