Souq Waqif Spring Festival

The Spring Festival is back again at Souq Waqif with more than 60 activities including 30 amusement rides.

Running until April 25, the festival is set to be the longest festival in Souq Waqif. It will feature a wide range of family-friendly outdoor games and rides as well as entertainment including parades and musical shows.

Collectibles Exhibition Homeland Guardians

The exhibition is the first of its kind expo, where Qatar’s Ali Al Bohaqab and Kuwait’s Mohamed Al Obaidly display a collection of rare, vintage and historic collected items dating back to 1948.

The exhibition evokes a great sense of pride and history and relates to various events, said General Manager of Cultural Village Foundation Dr Khalid bin Ibrahim Al Sulaiti.

Besides, rare photographs of the police, army, military uniforms, body armour, belts, badges, medals and other gifts that were given to the military servers, the old Qatar and Kuwaiti Emiri flags has been put up. The first burgundy Qatari flag is of 1932 while the Kuwaiti Emiri flag is of 1956.

Mahaseel Festival at Katara

The second edition of Mahaseel Festival that is on at Cultural Village Foundation – Katara has been much appreciated for its locally produced vegetables, honey and other products available at cheap prices.

Held in cooperation with the Agricultural Department the festival features fresh fruits and vegetables, honey, dairy, poultry and other livestock products.

The festival held daily till December 30 will continue during weekends starting January-March 2018.

Qatar ExxonMobil Open 2018

Qatar will be hosting some of the renowned tennis players including former world No. 1 Novak Djokovic.

Fans are guaranteed the best of entertainment as they watch their beloved stars slug it out on the courts at the Khalifa International Tennis and Squash Complex.

Novak will be leading a star cast which includes Dominic Thiem, Tomas Berdych, Richard Gasquet and Fernando Verdasco as well as Pablo Carreno Busta, to the event.

Fragrances from Bulgaria

Bulgarian Embassy has collaborated with Katara for the third time in presenting an art exhibition called Fragrances from Bulgaria.

Twenty-two photographs of stunning Bulgarian lavender and rose fields are on show at the “Fragrances from Bulgaria”.

The vivid images on display are some of the photos taken by Bulgarian lensmen Krasimir Matarov and Ruslan Asanov in their years-long search for the aromatic fields at the time when the fields were not yet marked on geographic maps.

View the largest Tamim Al Majd printed poster

A group of students from College of North Atlantic - Qatar (CNA-Q) will launch the largest printed poster of Tamim Al-Majd image on Friday (December 29), that has entered the Guinness Book of Records.

The size of the photo will be 16,000sqm breaking the previous record of 15,000sqm set by Switzerland.

Katara has invited residents and tourists to see the image on Friday and Saturday

Car and Bike stunt

Experience Qatar’s first ever fast moving, action packed car, bike & quad live stunt show only at "Drive in Doha".

During the action-packed show, audiences will see bike handstands, adrenalin-pumping drifts & go inside the vehicles while they drift and perform stunts on 2 wheels!

The tickets are priced at QR100 for adults while school students will be charged QR50 and children under 5years of age can enter for free.
