The tenth day of Muharram, which falls on Saturday in Qatar this year, is the Day of Ashura, which, to Muslims a day of fasting, to commemorate more than one historical incidents in Islam.
Gandhi Jayanti is a national festival celebrated in India to mark the occasion of the birthday of Mohandas Karamchand Gandhi, who is called the "Father of the Nation". It is one of the three national holidays of the country.
