Doha, Qatar: Amazon's billionaire founder Jeff Bezos has reignited the development of his monumental $175 million mansion, intended to become the future marital home for him and his fiancee, Lauren Sanchez.
Originally acquired in 2020, the construction of the grand Beverly Hills estate in California was put on hold due to property expansion concerns.
Encompassing a sprawling 28,000 square feet, the estate consists of the primary residence, a guesthouse, a fully-equipped gym, a pergola, and an exclusive house designated for security.
Notably, Bezos' real estate portfolio also includes an adjoining property worth $10 million, enhancing the extent of his palatial residential setup.
According to a Daily Mail report, Bezos planned to augment his estate further, intending to introduce additions such as a new pool house, a powder room and retaining walls to the estate. He also proposed expanding the property by an extra 1,000 square feet.
Until their magnificent mansion is completely ready, Bezos and Sanchez have found temporary residence at the Malibu compound of Lester Knispel, the famed financial manager for the Kardashian family, as per reports.
Page Six revealed that the proposal between the couple took place on Bezos' ostentatious $500 million yacht, stationed in the South of France for the 2023 Cannes Film Festival.
Bezos presented Sanchez with a dazzling 20-carat ring, valued at an estimated $2.5 million, marking the commencement of their engagement.
