DOHA: The Ministry of Education and Higher Education (MoEHE) has changed the dates of the second-semester midterm exams for the academic year 2024-2025 for the holy month of Ramadan.
The exams for grades one to eleven will be held from February 18 to 27, 2025.
The Ministry on its handle on X platform said: “In the interest of our students and to avoid the mid-term exams for the second semester of the academic year 2024-2025 coinciding with the beginning of the holy month of Ramadan, the Ministry of Education and Higher Education announces the amendment of the dates of these exams for grades one to eleven, to be held during the period from February 18 to 27, 2025, which allows students to prepare optimally and complete the exams before the advent of the holy month.”
Meanwhile, Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Lolwah bint Rashid Al Khater, on X platform, said that to enhance the principle of participation, a questionnaire was sent to schools to find out their opinion on bringing forward the date of the second-semester midterm exams so that students (grades 1 to 11) take them before the holy month of Ramadan to ease their burdens, parents and schools.
“The percentage of support for the proposal in the questionnaire was 92%. A comprehensive review of the academic calendar for the coming years is currently underway to serve the educational process, schools, students and their families alike,” said the Minister of Education and Higher Education.
