The National Cybersecurity Agency announced that it has trained more than 25,000 employees in various entities in the country on a number of programmes related to educational and specialised foundation tracks in the field of information security during the period from March 2021 until now.
In a statement on the sidelines of the 14th International Exhibition for Homeland Security and Civil Defense (Milipol Qatar 2022) which concluded on Thursday, the Director of Public Relations and Communication at the agency, Mohamed Ahmed Al Ansari, said that the agency has worked with more than 70 governmental, security and non-governmental agencies since its establishment, and seeks to achieve more cooperation with various authorities in the country, in order to intensify efforts to protect and develop cyberspace in Qatar.
He pointed out that the agency’s participation in Milipol exhibition comes within the framework of its constant keenness to inform the various authorities in the country about the services it provides, in addition to the various training courses that it constantly provides, such as the protection of private data and information security.
Al Ansari spoke about the importance of enhancing information security and the importance of protecting personal data on social media, noting that the agency is working in order to achieve several goals represented in securing and developing cyberspace in the country.
He stressed that the agency, which was established in March 2021, was keen to work with major international companies such as Microsoft, Huawei and the German Institute, in order to enhance cybersecurity and raise the efficiency of its system in Qatar through several programs and projects, and to secure a reliable information environment.
