London: Qatar is participating in the Education World Forum in London with a delegation headed by Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi (pictured).
The work of the forum, which is scheduled to conclude today (Wednesday), revolves around the theme 'Education: building forward together; stronger, bolder, better'. A large number of education ministers and officials from across the globe are participating in the forum.
They will discuss a set of topics related to the challenges facing the countries and societies, their long-term impact, the lessons learned from the COVID-19 pandemic, how technology has contributed to overcoming them, and the importance of education in building peace among peoples.
The forum will also discuss challenges facing countries in the education sector and their impact on its quality, the importance of access to education and equality, the development of educational paths to improve life opportunities for students, the role of education in the development of societies and individuals, and how to assess the success of the educational system, as well as supporting students in times of turmoil and epidemics, and the impact of education in making a difference in climate change.
The forum concludes a session to review innovative ways and methods of cooperation between countries in building strong and better education for the people.
The Education World Forum is the largest annual gathering of education ministers in the world and is held in London with the support of the Foreign, Commonwealth & Development Office (FCDO), the Ministries of Education and International Development, International Trade and the British Council.
