Doha: Some parts of Qatar received light rain today in the afternoon.
Light rain was reported from Khawzan, Nasraniyah, Laweena, Jameliy, Um al izaam and Dukhan, a reader informed The Peninsula.

A sandstorm was reported from Atooriya by Qatar Meteorology Department.
“Please be careful on Atooriya due to the low horizontal vision because of the sand raised due to cumulus clouds activity ..,” Met tweeted.

According to a tweet by Met hail fall was also reported near Al-Jumayliyah.

Met had predicted that some parts of the country are expected to receive rainfall in coming days due to increased humidity favouring cloud formation.
With the beginning of autumn season from Friday, temperature is expected to fall in the evening.
