Ministry instructs delivery firms to follow strict precautionary measures

Doha: The ministry have instructed delivery companies to follow strict precautionary measures to preserve the safety of citizens and residents.

Due to the current public health situation, many people are depending on online delivery for getting their groceries and food items.

Ministry of Commerce and Industry has asked companies processing various delivery orders to comply with a set of precautionary measures.
- Measure the body temperature of delivery personnel twice daily
- The commitment of delivery personnel to the implementation of health and safety conditions, particularly in terms of wearing masks and medical gloves
-  Writing the full name of the delivery employee on the order
- Sterilizing delivery transport means
- Placing orders inside a disposable plastic bags before delivering them to consumers

Ministry has been taking many measures like fixing the maximum prices of essential food items, masks and sanitisers for the benefit of customers due to present public health scenario.
