Gulf Good Vibes, MoPH host inaugural community mental wellness training

Doha: In a significant step toward promoting mental health and work-life balance, Gulf Good Vibes, in collaboration with the Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) and the Workers' Support and Insurance Fund, successfully hosted the first batch of the Community Mental Wellness Work-Life Balance & Peer Support (Buddy Program) Training.

The event took brought together mental wellness professionals, community leaders, and representatives from key organizations to foster a culture of mental health awareness, peer support, and work-life balance.

The training aimed to equip participants with the tools and strategies needed to integrate mental wellness into workplace safety and community support systems.

By focusing on peer support and holistic interventions, the program sought to empower community leaders to address mental health challenges effectively and create healthier, more supportive environments.

The event featured an impressive lineup of attendees and partner organizations, underscoring the importance of collaboration in advancing mental health initiatives. Notable participants included: Ministry of Labour – Office of Undersecretary: represented by Saleem Darwish Al Mohannadi; Workers' Support and Insurance Fund CEO Mrs. Kholoud Al Kubaisi, who served as the Chief Guest and Keynote Speake; International Labour Organization (ILO), represented by Michail Kandarakis, Technical Specialist on Labour Inspection and Occupational Safety & Health; WHO UNV Representatives - Dr. Ramy Rofail and Raya Halabi; UNHCR Community Representative - Kazeem Ademola; and Dr. Qusai Harahsheh from MoPH. 

The presence of these esteemed individuals and organizations highlighted the collective commitment to mental wellness and the importance of cross-sector collaboration.

The inaugural Community Mental Wellness Work-Life Balance & Peer Support Training marked a significant milestone in the journey toward fostering mental health awareness and support in the community.

By equipping leaders with the knowledge and tools to promote mental wellness, the program has laid the foundation for a more inclusive and supportive environment for all.

As the first of many such initiatives, this training sets a precedent for future collaborations and programs aimed at addressing mental health challenges and promoting holistic well-being.
