Doha, Qatar: University of Doha for Science and Technology (UDST) is set to make a significant impact at the upcoming Web Summit 2025, by highlighting its role in promoting innovation, entrepreneurship, and university-based startup success.
Through its dedicated UHUB business incubator, the UDST will host a series of workshops, discussions, and networking events designed to connect entrepreneurs, investors, and industry leaders.
Among the standout workshops, the UDST will host discussions on university-based innovation and commercialisation, exploring strategies to transition academic research into viable businesses. Another key session will focus on commercialising capstones and research, providing practical insights for founders looking to scale their university projects.
Also, “Meet the Startups Showcase” will offer UHUB entrepreneurs a platform to pitch their ideas to potential investors and industry professionals, encouraging valuable networking and funding discussions. Besides, the “Speed Networking with Mentors and Investors” session will facilitate fast-paced, structured interactions, connecting founders with key stakeholders.
A “Roundtable on Funding University Founders” will also bring together experienced investors to share insights on securing investment for university-driven startups.
