Qatar Central Bank to raise interest rates from Sept 22

Doha: The Qatar Central Bank (QCB) will from Thursday, September 22, 2022,  raise its deposit rate (QCBDR) by 75 basis points (bps) to 3.75%.

According to a tweet from QCB on Wednesday, the QCB Lending Rate (QCBLR)  will also be raised by 75 basis points (bps) to 4.50%, while the QCB Repurchase Rate (QCB Repo Rate) will have a 75 basis points (bps) increase to 4%.

This decision by its Monetary Policy Committee takes into account the evolving domestic and international macro-economic developments, QCB noted.
