Doha: Qatar Computing Research Institute (QCRI), part of Hamad Bin Khalifa University (HBKU), will once again offer an innovative computing learning experience to primary and middle school students at its annual Creative Space Summer Camp, now open for registration.

Kicking off on July 31, the two-week programme will explore a variety of technological opportunities, including robotics, programming, web design, and other areas of computational thinking.

Through a combination of interactive lessons, collaboration, and independent project work, the Summer Camp will instil the skills that students need to pursue future careers in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM). QCRI faculty will be on hand to mentor students while teaching the most in-demand computing skills, bringing the collaborative, innovative Creative Space learning culture to life.

Collaborative activities will ensure a positive and impactful learning environment, helping students to develop their problem-solving and decision-making abilities, as well as become more innovative.

Dr. Eman Fituri, Director of Educational Initiatives at QCRI, said: “Our Creative Space Summer Camp offers a rich learning environment with an atmosphere conducive to exploring the creative process that is part of coding and design.”

The summer programme will be conducted at QCRI’s Creative Space Lab, at the HBKU Research Complex in Education City. Previous experience of coding is not required.

With limited places, early registration is strongly encouraged. For more details and to register, please visit https://creativespace.qcri.org/
