Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti taking part in the coordination meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Group in Bali, Indonesia.
Bali: The Shura Council participated in the coordination meeting of the Arab Parliamentary Group, on the sidelines of the 144th Assembly of the Inter-Parliamentary Union (IPU), which will be held on the Indonesia’s island of Bali from today till Thursday.
During the meeting, a number of topics on the agenda of the 144th General Assembly of the IPU were discussed, and the representative of the Arab geopolitical group in the IPU Executive Committee made a presentation on the committee’s work.
They exchanged views on requests for the inclusion of emergency or additional items on the Assembly's agenda, in addition to agreeing on the Arab Group candidates for vacant positions in the IPU permanent and subsidiary committees.
The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Shura Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, member of the council Abdulla bin Ali Al Sulaiti, and Secretary-General of the Shura Council H E Dr. Ahmed bin Nasser Al Fadhala.
