Dust wave approaching; marine warning issued

Qatar Meteorology Department has issued warning against sea activities today. The weather department warned that wind speed will gain strength in the next few hours, expecting wave height in the range of 5-10ft. 

The department also said that aerial images of the country's airspace show a dust wave approaching which could lead to reduced horizontal visibility. The visibility could be as low as 2km in some areas during the afternoon hours. 

The daily weather report by the weather department also warned of poor visibility over most areas at first and by afternoon, expected strong wind at places later inshore. 

Offshore, it warned of expected poor visibility at places and high seas by afternoon.

Offshore, it will be hazy to misty/foggy at places at first becomes dusty and partly cloudy, the report added.

Wind inshore will be southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 05 to 12 knot becomes northwesterly 12 to 20 knot/25 knot at places by night. 

Offshore, it will be southeasterly to southwesterly at a speed of 05 to 15 knot becomes northwesterly 18 to 28 knot by afternoon.
