Doha: The Ministry of Public Health (MoPH) has announced that it will stop ‘handing’ birth certificates at all of its accredited offices at government and private hospitals.
The Ministry stated that this decision is part of the preventive measures to reduce the spread of Covid-19 and ensure safety of all. This decision was effective since yesterday, January 18, until further notice.
MoPH also mentioned that the birth certificate and its official document can be mailed by Qatar Post at a cost of QR 30 within 48 hours of the date of issuance.
