Doha: Twitter feed in Qatar was enveloped in maroon colour after the Qatar flag went viral on the social networking site today as the country marks its National Day with the biggest Parade in its history.
Citizens and residents in Qatar are tweeting with the Qatari Flag and the hashtag #اليوم_الوطني_القطري after H E Sheikha Al Mayassa bint Hamad bin Khalifa Al Thani, Chairperson of Qatar Museums tweeted last night “Let’s have the time line in Maroon by 12am,” and Qatar flags with hashtag #QatarNationalDay2017.
After this, many senior officials, ministries and government departments tweeted with the Qatar flag. This was taken up by Qatar twitterati and eventually the maroon flag took over many users timeline showing the love and respect for Qatar in the hearts of citizens and expatriates alike.
People from friendly countries like Kuwait were also tweeting with Qatar flag.
