Doha: Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani and President of Brazil H E Jair Bolsonaro held an official talks session at the Amiri Diwan yesterday.
At the beginning of the meeting, H H the Amir welcomed H E the President and his delegation, wishing him a pleasant stay, and the relations of the two countries further development and growth in various fields. For his part, the President of Brazil expressed his thanks to H H the Amir for the warm reception and hospitality, stressing his country’s keenness to develop and strengthen bilateral cooperation.
During the session, they discussed bilateral relations and ways to develop them, especially in the fields of investment, economy, defence, energy and sports, in addition to exchanging views on a number of issues of common interest.
H H the Amir received from the Brazilian President the Grand Collar of the Brazilian National Medal, the highest Brazilian decoration awarded to heads of states and governments. A number of Their Excellencies the Ministers attended the session. On the Brazilian side, Their Excellencies members of the official delegation accompanying the President attended the session.
Amir H H Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al Thani also hosted a luncheon banquet at the Amiri Diwan in honour of President of Brazil and the accompanying delegation. It was attended by a number of Their Excellencies the Ministers and businessmen.
