Doha: Minister of Education and Higher Education H E Buthaina bint Ali Al Jabr Al Nuaimi, yesterday paid an inspection visit to a new Al Kheesa Preparatory School.

The school has been developed within a public-private partnership (PPP) project by Barwa Real Estate Group in cooperation with the Public Works Authority (Ashghal).

The new schools are being built under schools' development programme following the PPP system.

The first phase of the programme included establishment of eight schools distributed over the areas of Doha and its suburbs within a geographical distribution that serves the areas of population in Qatari society.

The schools are designed on modern building style following international standards in terms of planning and development and using materials that preserve the environment within the state’s plan for green building systems.

The design included classrooms for integration students following Qatar's educational plan to integrate students with special needs into schools, in addition to 36 classrooms to accommodate 786 students.

The buildings of schools will be delivered during the current year as planned through coordination with the Public Works Authority.

The programme of the visit of the Minister included a general tour of the school and a presentation of the partnership project carried out by the Project Manager, Eng Fatima Fadala Al Sulaiti, and a presentation of pictures showing the development of the educational environment in Qatar.
