New York: Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs H E Sheikh Mohammed bin Abdulrahman Al Thani met in New York with Secretary-General of the United Nations H E Antonio Guterres.
The two sides discussed the latest international development, the current crisis in Ukraine, and the latest regional development including the current situations in Palestine, Yemen, Afghanistan and Libya. They also discussed the State of Qatar’s efforts in peace and development fields, and its multiple partnerships with UN institutions and bodies.
The Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs reiterated Qatar’s commitment to create an environment of peace, stability and development through mediation initiatives and constructive dialogue.
He affirmed Qatar’s commitments to supporting UN efforts through initiatives maintaining international security and peace, supporting international development efforts, enhancing and consolidating human rights, providing humanitarian aid, and participating in the collective efforts and initiatives aiming at addressing current and emerging challenges facing the region.
