Amman: Jordan's King Abdullah II reiterated Sunday his country's rejection of any attempts to annex territories and displace the Palestinians in Gaza and the West Bank.
He called for ensuring the endurance of ceasefire in Gaza and strengthening the international humanitarian response.
During his meeting with a delegation from the US Congress led by member of the US Senate, Senator Richard Blumenthal, King Abdullah II stressed the importance of achieving the just and comprehensive peace based on the two-state solution to ensure the region's security and stability.
He underscored the US pivotal role in backing peace efforts and the importance of the strategic partnership between Jordan and the US, as well as the keenness to foster it in all fields.
