Abu Dhabi: President of the United Arab Emirates (UAE), HH Sheikh Mohamed bin Zayed Al Nahyan, reaffirmed his country's stance opposing the displacement of the Palestinian people from their land and emphasized the need to prevent the expansion of the conflict, which poses a threat to regional peace.

During his meeting with US Secretary of State, Marco Rubio, who is on a visit to the Emirati capital, the UAE President underscored the importance of linking Gaza's reconstruction to a path that leads to a comprehensive and lasting peace based on the two-state solution as the only manner of ensuring stability in the region.

The meeting discussed bilateral cooperation relations and ways to enhance them in various fields in the pursuit of both countries' interests.

The two sides also addressed a range of regional and international issues of mutual concern, developments in the Middle East, especially those in the occupied Palestinian territory, as well as ongoing efforts to address the Gaza crisis and its implications on peace, stability, and regional security.
