Speaker of the Shura Council H E Hassan bin Abdullah Al Ghanem met yesterday with a number of Their Excellencies members of the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union, and Secretary-General of the Union H E Fayez Al Shawabkeh, who participated in the first coordination meeting of the parliamentary assemblies to combat terrorism, currently being held in Doha.
During the meeting, the existing bilateral relations between the Shura Council and the Arab Inter-Parliamentary Union were reviewed, and a number of issues related to joint Arab parliamentary coordination, ways to enhance it were also discussed. The meeting was attended by Deputy Speaker of the Council H E Dr. Hamda bint Hassan Al Sulaiti, and a number of Their Excellencies members of the Council.
