Kyiv: Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskyy called for strong ties with the US following a meeting with US envoy Keith Kellogg in Kyiv.
This comes following increased tension over statements made by US President Donald Trump on Wednesday.
In a post on his official social media account, Zelenskyy stated that he discussed with Kellogg the frontline situation, the return of Ukrainian soldiers and establishing effective security guarantees.
He added that strong Ukraine-US relations benefit the entire world.
