Doha: Many parts of Qatar experienced light to moderate rain today, March 13, with the Qatar Meteorology Department (QMD) forecasting chances of scattered and thundery rain at places at times again tomorrow, March 14.

According to QMD, the weather on Tuesday will be hazy with scattered clouds to partly cloudy, and with a chance of scattered rain at places at times, warning of thundery rain associated with strong wind and high sea.

Wind inshore will be northeasterly to southeasterly at a speed of 5 to 15 knots. Offshore, it will be mainly northeasterly 5 to 15 knots gusting to 25 knots at places with thundery rain at first.

Sea state inshore will be 1 to 2 feet, rising to 4 feet with thundery rain, while offshore it will be 2 to 4 feet, rising to 8 feet at places with thundery rain.

Tomorrow, the sun rises at 5:43 am and sets at 5:42 pm. 

The marine warning continues until tomorrow, said QMD. The public is reminded to take precautions and until further notice, avoid all marine activities during this period.
