Doha: Jungkook, a member of K-Pop sensation BTS, has been confirmed to release a soundtrack and perform at the opening ceremony of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022.
With just less than 10 days left before the kick-off, the announcement was officially made in BTS' official Twitter account this morning.
In a tweet, BTS Official stated: "Proud to announce that Jung Kook is part of the FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 Soundtrack & will perform at the World Cup opening ceremony. Stay tuned!"
Jeon Jungkook, the youngest member of the band, arrived in Qatar last month for a short visit, taking social media by storm with his name and the hashtag "Welcome to Qatar Jungkook" trending on Twitter.

On October 25, ARMYs in Qatar were thrilled to spot the artist in several popular tourism landmarks in the country such as Souq Waqif and Katara.
Jeon Jungkook, also referred to as "JK" or "Kookie" by his fans, is among the top artists to headline and perform in Qatar for the FIFA World Cup.
