Minister of Sports and Youth H E Salah bin Ghanim Al Ali crowned the winners of the Ramadan Football Championship that was organised by Qatar Sports for All Federation (QSFA) at the Aspire Dome.
In the final match, Al Tadamon beat Al Waab on penalties (3-2) after the regular time ended in a 2-2 draw.
Adviser to the Minister of Sports and Youth and President of the QSFA Abdul Rahman Musallam Al Dosari participated in crowning the champions and referees of the tournament.
A large number of football stars, veterans, artists, and youth took part in the championship, with competitions continuing over five rounds. Forty players representing four teams participated in the Ramadan tournament which was held in a league system.
By organising these tournaments, activities, and events, the QSFA aims to expand the base of participation in sports activity, encourage continuing practice of sports, and contribute to making sport a way of life through the current year’s calendar, which includes 683 sporting events.
