Doha: Aspire Zone Foundation has cancelled today’s (Saturday) Aspire Lake Festival due to the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said of Oman, who passed away Friday evening.
The Amir HH Sheikh Tamim bin Hamad Al-Thani has ordered three days of mourning in Qatar.
“Aspire Zone Foundation regrets to inform you that Aspire Lake Festival on Saturday 11/1/2020 has been cancelled for the death of His Majesty Sultan Qaboos bin Said,” they said in a statement.
“With great sorrow we extend our warmest condolences to the sisterly Sultanate of Oman, the government and the people,” the statement added.
