Doha: The Association of Indonesian Community in Qatar (PERMIQA) in collaboration with KAIFA Doha recently organised an interactive discussion with theme ‘The University Sharing Session’ by presented the Speakers of Indonesian University Students from Qatar, UK, Canada, USA and Asean Countries at Mahad Da’wah of the Ministry of Awqaf, Al Waab, last week.
The session was attended by 300 Indonesian diaspora (potential students and parents). The Indonesian Ambassador Deddy Saiful Hadi and Endang Deddy Hadi were present. Second Secretary for Information, Social & Culture Affairs, Nurwenda Sucipto; President of PERMIQA, Heri Kartono; and representatives of KAIFA Doha also attended.
The ambassador praised the Indonesian diaspora in Qatar who always have creativity, ideas and initiatives in creating such kinds of positive events, especially like this interactive discussion and sharing session that could be bridging the parents and potential students in terms on choosing the right faculty and university either in Indonesia or abroad based on interests and talents of each students. Most of the questions and interests raised from the audiences were concerning the opportunity and availability in obtaining scholarship, accommodation, tuition fees, academic transitions and requirements from high school to university, etc.
