Florida: The Blackhawks snapped a season-high three-game losing streak with a dominating 6-2 win over the Florida Panthers (9-17-5) but they lost goalie Corey Crawford to a lower body injury in the process.
Crawford, who came into the game leading NHL goalies with 17 wins, stopped a shot by Florida’s Marcel Goc with 6:15 remaining in the first period and then fell flat on the ice after it appeared his right leg buckled under him.
He was helped to the locker room and did not return.
Chicago (21-6-5) replaced Crawford with rookie Antti Raanta, who stopped 29 of 31 shots the rest of the way as Florida saw their season-high.
Zach Parise had a pair of goals and Mikko Koivu had another to supply the necessary offense for Minnesota to beat San Jose 3-1.
Goaltender Josh Harding had 37 saves as he improved to 13-1-0 at home this season for the Wild (18-9-5). REUTERS
