Ministers, Ambassadors visit S’hail 2021 exhibition

To learn more about the best types of falcons and hunting supplies, a number of government officials and ambassadors visited the 5th edition of Katara International Hunting and Falcons Exhibition (S’hail 2021), yesterday.

Among officials who visited the exhibition were Minister of Municipality and Environment and Acting Minister of State for Cabinet Affairs, H E Dr. Abdullah bin Abdulaziz bin Turki Al Subaie; Undersecretary of the Ministry of Commerce and Industry H E Sultan bin Rashid Al Khater and Minister of State and President of Qatar National Library (QNL), H E Dr. Hamad bin Abdulaziz Al Kawari.

Due to its cultural importance, a number of envoys, including ambassadors of Sri Lanka, Bangladesh, Niger and deputy ambassador of Kosovo, visited the exhibition where they expressed their admiration and its cultural importance.

“It is an important cultural and tourist exhibition in which many countries are participating. The exhibition contributing more about those countries, especially the Balkan countries,” said deputy ambassador of Kosovo, Dr. Rajab Ismail.

He also said: “In the exhibition, we saw everything related to falcons and hunting tools, wild trips, etc., and cultural matters in general. We will see in the coming years how Kosovo will participate in this exhibition because the exhibition gives light  to cultures and make people know more about other countries." 

"There is no big difference between our culture and the Qatari culture,” he added.
Ambassadors’ wives were also keen to visit the exhibition and to see the different pavilions and various products related to weapons and supplies for falcon hunting, as well as to learn about the cultures of these countries through their participating pavilions.

S’hail 2021 include pavilions for selling falcons, hunting equipment, hunting guns, hunting vehicle outfitting and supplies for outdoor sports. It also features all the advanced technology tools needed to serve the hobby of hunting. The exhibition showcases hunting-related ancient artifacts from different countries. The event displays a group of the best types of falcons, of high quality and excellent performance in hunting. 

The exhibition is open to visitors from 10am to 10pm, except Friday when it will open at 2pm and closes at 11pm.

The five –day exhibition will be concluded tomorrow. The Cultural Village Foundation — Katara  has said that visiting the exhibition is only for those who have completed the two doses of the COVID-19 vaccine, and those who are 18 years and above.
