Occupied Jerusalem: A Palestinian woman was shot dead today for allegedly trying to stab an Israeli soldier at the Eliyahu military checkpoint in Qalqilya, northern West Bank.
The Ministry of Health officially announced the death of the 22 years old woman, after she was reportedly shot and bled to death on the ground.
Israeli occupation troops claimed that the woman moved close to the checkpoint trying to stab the border guard. The troops shot the woman after she refused to stop.
The crossing was then closed for both directions.
On the other hand, the occupation air forces launched an air strike overnight Sunday on a training site belonging to the Al-Qassam Brigades, Hamas' military wing, between Rafah and Khan Younis in the southern Gaza Strip.
No injuries were reported in the airstrike.
On Sunday, Israeli sources said that a missile, launched from the center of Gaza Strip, landed in an open area in southern Israel with no casualties or damages.
