89 students continue competing in Katara Holy Quran Memorization Competition

Doha, Qatar:  The 14th edition of the Katara Holy Quran Memorization Competition continue, which is held at the Katara Grand Mosque and the Golden Mosque, daily after Asr prayer, with the participation of 60 male students and 29 female students, who were distributed into 8 groups, one of which was allocated to students who memorized 20 chapters of the Holy Quran.

The training of the participants is supervised by an elite group of 5 male trainers and 3 female trainers with high experience and competence in Quran memorization, as they exert great efforts in teaching students the principles of recitation and intonation, with a focus on mastering memorization and contemplating the meanings of the verses.

In this context, the trainers expressed their happiness with the outstanding level shown by the students in memorization and performance, praising their keenness to develop their Quranic skills, and pointing out that this competition is a valuable opportunity to instill the love of the Holy Quran in the hearts of young people, and to strengthen their connection to it as a way of life.

For their part, the parents expressed their gratitude to Katara and those in charge of the competition, pointing out the positive impact it had on their children, in terms of discipline, commitment and developing the spirit of faith, noting that the competition contributes to the continuous and significant improvement in the level of memorization and recitation among our children, extending their thanks to Katara for this blessed initiative.

The competition is scheduled to conclude next Thursday, where the winning and participating students will graduate and be honored, in appreciation of their efforts and to encourage them to continue memorizing the Holy Quran and contemplating its meanings.

It is noteworthy that the Katara Holy Quran Memorization Competition is one of the leading Quranic events that aims to encourage young people to memorize the Book of Allah, master its recitation and contemplate its meanings. It also contributes to instilling Islamic values and strengthening religious identity among rising generations.
