Doha, Qatar: The Ministry of Labour (MoL), through the Department of Qualifying and Skills Development, organised a specialised training programme in collaboration with the Qatar Association of Certified Public Accountants (QCPA).

Aimed at Qatari graduates and children of Qatari women seeking employment in the private sector, the programme focused on “Tax Law and its Executive Regulations.” It provided participants with essential knowledge of tax legislation, accounting practices, and regulatory compliance, preparing them for the labour market.

This initiative aligns with the Ministry’s efforts to support the National Strategy for an Effective and Highly Productive Workforce and the Law on Nationalisation of Jobs in the Private Sector. By enhancing the skills of the national workforce, the programme contributes to increasing the presence of skilled Qataris and children of Qatari women in the private sector.

The training featured expert-led lectures on tax law and its executive regulations, offering participants valuable insights into accounting roles, tax procedures, and transparency measures in business environments. It also covered compliance requirements for private sector companies.

Participants received hands-on training in tax reporting and calculation, explored case-based approaches to tax issues, and were introduced to modern tax systems and accounting technologies. Workshops further equipped them with the skills to effectively use tax-related tools and software.

This initiative supports the Ministry’s broader commitment to developing a skilled national workforce across key economic sectors, enhancing productivity, and improving competitiveness in the private sector, in line with Qatar National Vision 2030’s human development pillar.
