Meanwhile, the Qatar Stars League Management yesterday decided to reschedule the QSL Cup Round 2 match between Al Sadd and Al Rayyan, which was originally scheduled for tomorrow, to Thursday, October 12, 2017.
According to report on the club web site, the decision was made following a request by Al Sadd, who have a friendly scheduled for today against Turkish side Trabzonspor.
The Al Sadd Al Rayyan game will kick off at 5.35pm at the Al Khor Stadium.
The fixtures saw most teams fielding Under-23 players with an aim of providing youngsters with opportunities, so they can gradually graduate to their first teams. Some sides, struggling to gain ground after the QNB Stars League’s first three rounds, found the tournament as a perfect platform to prepare the players.
