Doha: The Radisson Blu-Olympic Sport Squash Championship will begin from today at Radisson Blu and will contested by around 100 players in eight different categories, informed the organisers.
The tournament sponsored by Radisson Blu and Olympic Sport, is organised under the patronage of Qatar Squash Federation (QSF).
The players will be contesting in the Under-9, Under-11, Under-13, Under-17, Men’s Level A, Men’s level B, Men’s Over 45 and Professional categories.
The six-day tournament will be played in two different formats. The juniors competition will be played in a round-robin format while the knock out system will be applicable to all other categories, informed Gamal Rasmi, Technical Secretary at QSF.
Matches begin at 5.00pm and the action will end at 10.00pm informed the organisers.
The winners and runners-up in each of the eight categories will get gift vouchers from Radisson Blu and Olympic Sport.
The Radisson Blu-Olympic Sport Squash Championship is one of the keenly contested event for local players and a regular sports calendar event patronised by QSF.
