Egypt asserted dominance early, leading 21-13 after the first period and extending their advantage to 41-30 by halftime. They overwhelmed Qatar in the third period, outscoring them 24-5 before Qatar showed improvement in the final stretch, winning the last quarter 19-18. However, the deficit was too large to overcome.
In the other match, Lebanon secured a convincing 75-54 victory over the Philippines, delivering a composed performance.
With two straight wins, Egypt leads the standings with four points, followed by Lebanon and the Philippines with three points each. Qatar sit last with two points. The tournament concludes today, with Qatar facing Lebanon and Egypt meeting the Philippines in a decisive clash.
