Doha: The Doha Institute for Graduate Studies (DI) has announced preparations are ongoing for the graduation ceremony of the seventh cohort of master’s students, which will be held on May 18, at the St. Regis Doha Hotel.

The preparations have started early to celebrate the 196 expected graduates for this year, with 129 students from the School of Social Sciences and Humanities and 67 from the School of Economics, Administration and Public Policies.

Dr. Ibrahim Freihat, Dean of Student Affairs, explained that the graduation ceremony is the most important annual event organised by the institute to contribute to advancing scientific research in the social, human and administrative sciences and to produce original knowledge that interacts with global research production.

Dr. Freihat added that to achieve this mission, the institute has adopted international academic standards in all its disciplines. Those standards qualify the master’s degree graduates to experience higher education in doctoral disciplines in other prestigious international universities.
