Vienna: The United Nations Special Rapporteur on the Occupied Palestinian Territories, Francesca P. Albanese, has called for the importance of halting the Israeli aggression on the Gaza Strip that has been ongoing since October 2023.
Addressing a press conference in Vienna titled: Israeli war: colonial ethnic cleansing, Albanese said the time has come for taking the essential measures and everything possible to stop the continuous Israeli brutality in the Gaza Strip.
She emphasized that Israel is committing war crimes and crimes against humanity in Gaza, stressing that it is not appropriate to describe what is happening in Gaza as merely a war, since there are rules for wars as well, but what is happening there is a mass destruction.
The Israeli occupation continues its offensive in the Gaza Strip, causing the largest humanitarian catastrophe in the Middle East.
