Algiers: A dangerous terrorist, Bakari Ali nicknamed Abou El-Hacen has been killed and Kalachnikov machine pistol and munitions have been recovered during an operation conducted Tuesday in Bir El-Atter (Tebessa), by a detachment of the National Popular Army (ANP), said Wednesday the Algerian Ministry of National Defence in a communique.
"As part of the fight against terrorism and through the use of intelligence, a combined detachment as part of the operational sector of Tebessa (5th Military Region), killed a dangerous terrorist Bakari Ali, called Abou El-Hacen, on 6 October 2015 at 9:20 PM, in Bir El-Atter," the same source added.
"The operation allowed recovering one Kalachnikov machine pistols, 3 chargers, 187 bullets, bombs and cell phones," Algeria Press Service (APS) quoted the communique as saying.
The same source added that this terrorist "was one of most criminals who joint the terrorist groups with his wife in 1995 in Djebel Labiedh. In 2000, he left to the Sahel region and became one of the acolytes of terrorist Mokhtar Belmokhtar."
