Ministry bans shisha services in all restaurants and cafes due to Covid-19

Doha: Ministry of Commerce & Industry (MOCI) issued a decision to prohibit Shisha/hookah in all restaurants and cafes operating in the country, starting from Saturday 8 January until further notice.

This decision comes in light of the current health conditions and in line with preventive measures to avoid Coronavirus (Covid-19) infections.

The Ministry affirms that any party that violates this decision will be held accountable and legal action will be taken.

The Ministry urged all companies and individuals to follow preventive measures to ensure their safety and that of the community and refer to the website of the Ministry for all information and resources about the Covid-19 virus that is provided in several languages or call toll-free number 16000.
