PARIS: Former French president Nicolas Sarkozy said that he supports establishing migrant detention centers in areas like North African states or "countries like Serbia and Bulgaria.” He said it could help address the migrant crisis by setting up detention centers on their territories.
In his words, such a move might put an end to the "drama of crossing the Mediterranean", RTL quotes him as telling members and supporters of his conservative UMP party on Saturday.
